Participating Institutions
The collaborative research center SFB 881 "The Milky Way System" is an establishment of Heidelberg University, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG).
The following institutions participate in the SFB:
- Astronomisches Rechen-Institut (ARI)
- Institut für Theoretische Astrophysik (ITA)
- Landessternwarte Königstuhl (LSW)
- Together these three institutes constitute the Zentrum für Astronomie der Universität Heidelberg (ZAH).
- Heidelberg Institute for Theoretical Studies (HITS)
- Max-Planck-Institute for Astronomy (MPIA)
- Haus der Astronomie (HdA)
- GSI Helmholtzzentrum für Schwerionenforschung (GSI)
